Hey Y’all! I’m back, I know it’s been awhile. Please forgive me! January and February has been a roller coaster literally. Not all bad but it’s been hard for me to focus on my passion. It’s so much that goes into this Influencer/Blogger space that most people don’t understand. Let me explain a little of it to you. Lol
1) You need more then a CUTE OUTFIT -It’s a process that requires more then putting on a cute outfit and taking a photo. Don’t forget about determining the location, photographer, poses, captions, writing a blog post, promoting, networking, and being CONSISTENT. It’s not as easy as people may think.
2) Lack of Support– The reality is that we as influencers and bloggers put so much into shooting and producing then when we decide to share, it Flops. I’ve learned that this is just apart of the journey. Also don’t expect other influencers to support you, some of them just do it for the Gram “I’m just saying”. Just Be yourself and the people will come!
3) Money– Money! You will spend so much money and get zero in return if you are not smart. When I first started I would shop all the time and only shoot in the outfits and never wear it again. That wasn’t working for me! Also hiring a photographer is so expensive! I decided quick I needed my own DSLR camera, because hiring a photographer every other week just wasn’t in my budget and savings goals. My advice would be to cut cost as much as possible, when you first start. I still shop all the time, but I shop smarter.
4) Updates– Sometimes I HATE Instagram! It’s always changing lol. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Don’t get use to anything on Social Media, because it WILL change. So you have to do your research to stay updated and make the necessary changes. That’s why it’s smart to have your own website. You can’t always depend on Instagram.
5) Life and Passion– My biggest challenge is keeping the balance between my life and my passion. My family comes first before anything! I take pride in being a good Mom and wife, so if I feel like they’re lacking I will put off any work that needs to get done. On the other hand I know that being consistent will take me where I want to be in life. I don’t believe in balance, it’s not realistic FOR ME. Something will always come up short and lately it’s been my passion. I’m working on that I PROMISE.
I’m not trying to stop anyone from starting. If you are passionate about it, go for it. I truly believe that the good out weighs the bad. I just wanted to share with you guys what I wished someone would’ve shared with me.
I hope you find these tips helpful!
Until Next Time...

Yes!!!! No problem…Thanks Rhonda I’m glad you liked it 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Such truth in this post and balance is a word I don’t try to conform to. I honestly live in the moments if my outfit is cute that day I take tons of photos and save for later. Learning to edit is so key for me when choosing a photo. All in all i feel you love!!
