My Top 3 Favorite Red Lipsticks

I’m not sure if I told you guys this before, but I love lipstick. I have over 30 lipsticks in my makeup collection. At least 20 of them are different shades of red. I love a great bold red lippie on my brown skin. I know what you’re thinking “why so many red lipsticks?”that’s because not every red is made for every skin tone. I have three that I always reach for and wanted share with you guys.

My number one is “Hot Mama” liquid matte lipstick from The lip bar. The lip bar is a black owned company created by Melissa Butler. There products are also vegan & cruelty free. This is the best red lipstick I’ve ever tried. It drys matte, but still moisturizing on my lips. It’s definitely brown girl friendly y’all and very affordable.

My second Favorite would have to be from NARS Cosmetics in the color “Dragon Girl”. I first heard about this red lipstick from Kahlana Barfield . We know her red lipstick is always popping, so I knew I had to try it out. This red lipstick doesn’t dry matte, but has a matte look. It goes on very smoothly and lasts for hours. The only down fall is you have to apply at least 3-4 coats, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s still perfect.

Last, but definitely not least is a oldie but goodie MAC “RUBY WOO”. This was the first red lipstick I fell in love with, I’m sure many of you did as well. Ruby Woo is definitely most black girls go to red lipstick. It’s the perfect red to make a statement and very matte. I will never get tired of Classic RUBY WOO.
